For Swimming Pool Use:
This product controls bacteria and algae in swimming pools. Add directly to circulating water. Each ounce provides approximately 0.4 ppm of chlorine per 10,000 gallons. Do not enter the pool if chlorine levels exceed 4 ppm.
How to Use:
Add in the evening while the filter runs. Broadcast evenly over the deepest area. Use entire contents once opened. If granules settle, brush to disperse.
Start-Up:
Ensure the filtration system is clean and operational. Adjust pH to 7.2-7.6 and alkalinity to at least 125 ppm. Add enough product to raise free chlorine to 5-6 ppm. For reference, 10 ounces per 10,000 gallons raises chlorine by 4 ppm.
Shock Treatment:
Use during heavy pool use, hot weather, or after rain. Add 14 ounces per 10,000 gallons for a 6 ppm chlorine boost. Do not swim until chlorine is below 4 ppm.
Maintenance:
Add daily or as needed to maintain 1-3 ppm chlorine. Five ounces per 10,000 gallons increases chlorine by 2 ppm. Keep pH at 7.2-7.6 and alkalinity at 125 ppm.
